Ajax boss Eric Ten Hag satisfy with Kudus performance in preseason

Ajax manager Eric Ten Hag is satisfied with the performance of Ghana midfielder Kudus Mohammed in preseason, and remains confident the player will live up to expectations when the season begins on Sunday.

Mohammed completed a move to the Dutch giants from FC Nordsjaellad in the Danish Premier League, impressing in preseason, where he scored once in five games.

Ahead of tomorrow’s Dutch Eredivisie opener against Sparta Rotterdam, Ten Hag is impressed with his new signings Antony and Mohammed.

“They [Kudus and Antony] certainly lived up to expectations, they clearly showed their potential. The pair already seem to feel at home at Ajax,” he told ajax.nl.

“That speaks very much for the group of players, that they are open to new players and they help. Sometimes there is also internal competition, but it is clear that they are well received and that there is a whole team around it.”

Ajax have lost some important figures of the setup that reached semifinals of the 2018-2019 UEFA Champions League.

Matthijs de Ligt joined Juve June last year in a deal that worth £67.5million for five years whiles Hakim Ziyech and Don van de Beek join Chelsea and Manchester United in this summer’s window respectively.

Kudus played for Right to Dream Academy in Ghana before leaving for Nordsjaellad in 2018. He netted 14 league goals in 51 games before joining Ajax this season.
