Greenwood second half strike salvage Manchester United from Everton defeat as the spoils shared at Old Trafford

Second half sub Mason Greenwood struck on the 77’ minute to salvage Manchester United from Everton defeat at home.

After spinning Chelsea 3-1 at Goodison Park last Saturday, Duncan Ferguson led Everton again to share the spoils with Manchester United at Old Trafford to go two games unbeaten after replacing Marco Silva.

On the other hand, United clinched a surprise score line at Etihad Stadium last Sunday after hooking their rivals Manchester City 2-1.

In a fiercely contested game today, the show looked to be ending goalless draw in the first half but Everton broke the deadlock through the opposite marker Victor Lindelof after the defender guided a corner into an empty net.

Manchester United pushed Everton for the equalizer but Ferguson’s men stood resilient for most minutes of the second half to prevent Ole’s side from grabbing the leveler.

But not the entire second half, thirteen minutes to full time, Mason Greenwood poked home from outside the box to draw Manchester United on level.

United have dropped to 6th on the EPL table with 25 points, four points clear away from Champions League spot as it stands now.
