Karela United set to appoint Spain based Ghanaian trainer Abdul Rahim Bashiru as club new coach

Premier League side Karela United enjoyed a successful campaign in the ended 2019 GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition only losing the Tier One finals to Asante Kotoko on penalties. The Ghanaian side lost their coach Johnson Smith to Kotoko after the competition,

Ahead of the 2019-2020 football season, Karela has begun preparations without a substantive head coach, and according to latest reports, former Unistar Academy trainer Abdul Rahim Bashiru is on the verge of joining Karela.

Bashiru currently plies his trade for Spanish lower divisions FC Utebo in Zaragoza where he manages the U-15 side of FC Utebo.

The Ghanaian trainer is familiar with Ghana football after leading Unistar Academy to Ghana Division One League before leaving for Spain.
