Ghana Premier side Legon Cities take commending step in fighting coronavirus in Ghana
Premier League side Legon Cities FC have taken a very commending step in battling coronavirus in Ghana by implementing a set of healthy measures for passengers who travel with public vehicles.
The coronavirus outbreak is eventually digging out the scary and fears in mankind, holding all global events including sports into stagnation. Most of football activities across the world have been suspended, some until further notice.

In as much the outbreak continues to escalate across borders of countries, there have increasing public health measures to educate the public in order to curb the menace of the disease within countries and to manage the epidemic from spreading among countries.
And these measures have been deployed and implemented by not only health workers but comprises of a broad base interested parties like football clubs, the media and some other public institutions.
In Ghana, a football club, namely, Legon Cities FC have taken similar bold approach to educate people who take their traveling route by public vehicles known as “Trotro” passengers to avoid further spread of the coronavirus outbreak in Ghana.

This commending step came on Monday morning following the Ghana Health Services’ confirmation of four new COVID-19 cases to send the total to six confirmed cases. This forced the government of Ghana to suspend all mass gathering events including sporting activities on Sunday evening for the interest of public health and protection of Ghanaians.
The Cities have implemented 10 set of public education for “Trotro” passengers to reduce the spread of the disease among the Ghanaian population. The education is mostly centered around the need to use sanitizers to wash the hands and avoid touching the face with unclean hand.
