Libya and Niger share spoils in Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) group B opener

Libya and Niger shared the spoils in CHAN tournament opener in Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon after both the North African side and Wests failing to score.

With the game starting on a high intensity note, a lot of goals were anticipated as both side pushed for first three points in group B.

However, lack of accuracy was the main issue that saw both sides ending the game without finding back of the net as the game ended goalless draw after 90’ minutes.

Niger were the better side stealing 55% of ball possession against Libya’ 45% but Cavalli’s men walk home with a point.

Dr Congo face Congo Brazzaville later the day in other fixture of group B with the former champions keening on victory in their opening game.

Libya will play Dr Congo in their fixture on Thursday whiles Niger face Congo later in the day.
