Bruno Henrique inspires Flamengo to first ever FIFA Club World Cup final after beating Al Hilal in semifinals

Bruno Henrique grabbed two assists and scored Flamengo’s second goal as the Brazilians reach their first ever FIFA Club World Cup final.

South American Champions Flamengo began their campaign in Qatar 2019 FIFA Club World Cup with a 3-1 victory over Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilians went down inside 18 minute when Salem Al-Dawsari slot home from inside the box after a prolong period of Hilal pushing Flamengo for the opening goal. Mohamed Al-Berik slide a low pass from the right edge into the box, Salem Al-Dawsari kept his composure and smashed a one-time ball which takes a deflection before going beyond Flamengo keeper Diego Alves.

Al Hilal could have doubled their lead moments after but most of their efforts particularly from Befatimbi Gomez and Sebastian Giovinco lacked the precision to find the back of the Flamengo net.

Four minutes into restart, Giorgian De Arrascaeta got the Brazilians back into the game before Bruno Henrique who assisted Flamengo first goal rose above to head home Rafinha cross from the right to put the South America Champions ahead for the first time on 78’ minute.

Flamengo took control of the game and put the game beyond Al Hilal on 83rd minute after Ali Al-Bulaihi tab home Bruno Henrique low cross for an own for. Few seconds later, Andre Carrillo was sent off for a harsh tackle.

Flamengo appear the first team to qualify for the final of the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup in DOHA, and are just a game away from winning their first ever FIFA Club World.

They would face the winner between European Champions Liverpool and Monterrey in the final. They later two engage each other tomorrow in the other semifinals.
