PSG and Brazilian Super Stars Neymar is reported to reject contract extension at PSG which has sparked speculations to his proposed move to Barcelona next summer, according to Spanish paper Sport.
One transfer news that sparked the whole transfer window last summer was Barcelona’s move for their former winger Neymar from PSG. The French side rejected Barcelona offer for Neymar on so many occasions which prevented the former Santos striker from completing his dream move back to Camp Nou where he scored 105 goals in 186 games for the Catalan during his five years stay at Catalona.
Barcelona was interested in bringing Neymar to Camp Nou last summer but financial factor was a limitation, where in order to over this limitation players- Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele, Malcom and Sergi Roberto plus a huge sum of money deal was offered.
Barcelona’s offer was not enough to secure the Brazilian from Parc de Princes, and that would also not prevent any possible transfer in the near future either, where it is believed that both Barcelona and Neymar have still being keeping taps on each other.
Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal when speaking to Mundo Deportivo few days ago disclosed Barca’s intentions of reuniting with their former player when the opportunity presents itself. The sporting director simply said “Neymar will always be ‘a clear option”.
”A top player, who has a Barca philosophy and who is performing at a high level, will always be an option,” Abidal added.
“From there, at the sports level we can make decisions, but the whole financial issue, there are things that you can reach and others that you cannot.
“The future will say. If it continues at this level, because the season is very long, I will not say that it will be option number one but it can be a clear option”, he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian’s transfer is eventually turning into a reality as next summer gets closer. Neymar will reject the opportunity to commit his future to PSG, as claimed by Spanish outlet Sport.
According to the Spanish outlet, the former Santos man will reject PSG’s offer to extend his contract, which suggests that the forward will force his way to Barcelona next summer.
It is believed that Neymar paid some of the money PSG requested from Barcelona, but the deal failed at a time when the Catalans had already paid a big money to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
Next summer wouldn’t be different from what Neymar did last summer, as according to reports, he will pay a pocket money of £17m that will see a release clause of PSG accepting £153m deal after three years of his five year contract being activated, which will then see Neymar move to Barcelona this June.
