Former Right to Dream Academy player Emmanuel Boateng signs a year permanent deal with MLS side D.C United

Major League Soccer side D.C United have signed Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Boateng on a year deal that worth US$ 250,000 Targeted Allocation Money.

Emmanuel Boateng who played for Ghanaian side Right to Dream Academy switched camp from LA Galaxy to D.C United in August 2019 this year.

The Ghanaian winger enjoyed a very difficult season with MLS giants LA Galaxy where he managed to produce only 9 goals and 13 assists in during his 4 year of stay.

After 3 months of joining D.C United on under-study loan deal, Emmanuel Boateng have secured a permanent deal with the Black and Reds despite failing to register himself as a regular start since joining the club back in August.

D.C United took to their official website to announce the signing of the Ghanaian midfielder on Friday morning 22nd November in a form of press release.

“D.C. United exercised options for Steven Birnbaum, Emmanuel Boateng, Russell Canouse, Oniel Fisher, Joseph Mora, Júnior Moreno, Chris Odoi-Atsem and Ulises Segura”, as it reads.

Boateng will remain with the Black and Reds till the end of December n2xt year.
