Accra Great Olympics closing in on former Aduana Stars captain Godfred Saka

Premier League side Accra Great Olympics is reported to show interest in signing Godfred Saka who remains a free agent. Olympics were reinstated into the Ghana Premier League at the GFA Extraordinary Congress last month.

The Accra based side are preparing for a fruitful campaign in the new and coming 2029-2020 Ghana League, and signing of experience players would be necessary for Olympics not only to escape relegation but make them a force they used to be in the Ghana League.

Former Aduana right-back Godfred Saka is the latest player to be linked with Great Olympics. Saka, the former Aduana Stars captain won two Ghana Premier League titles with the Dormaa based side before departing for Karela United January 2018.

Saka attempted a return to his former Chiefs at Dormaa after a season stay with Karela United but the attempt didn’t materialized. Olympics is planning to offer Saka a return to the Ghana Premier League.

According to reports in Ghana media, Olympics have open negotiations with Saka during the weekend, which the former Black Stars B defender has agreed to sign for Great Olympics. The transfer of the defender could be announced today or the next day.
