Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay earns former Black Stars midfielder Yusif Alhassan Chibsah praises

Former Ghana combative midfielder Yusif Alhassan Chibsah has praised Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay for his outstanding performances for the Ghanaian giants this season so far.

The midfield architect has been incredible with his work rate deep in the center of the pitch, and his effort has gone noticed by former Asante Kotoko midfielder Yusif Alhassan Chibsah- when talking about his best midfielders in the Ghana Premier League after Week 15.

According to Chibsah, Blay’s style of play is similar to his during the former active days as a footballer.

“There have been impressive performances from some of the midfielders in the game like Justice Blay, Kwame Keyeke, Benjamin Bernard, Eric Kwakwa, Modasiru, Emmanuel Nettey, Frederick Ansah Botchway, Elvis Opoku and others, he told Happy FM.

“I can single out Justice Blay who plays just like me. He combines both defensive and attacking duties as a midfielder for Asante Kotoko. Looking at all the players I have mentioned I think he fits that criteria.”

“He has a very good rate and the way he plays I think is similar to how I played during the active days as a footballer”, he concluded.

There are many impressive midfielders in the Ghana Premier League so far with Emmanuel Keyeke, Emmanuel Nettey, Frederick Ansah Botchway and Elvis Opoku but it is Blay who has earned the former Black Stars midfielder’s praises.

Blay joined Kotoko from Medeama Sporting Club on a loan deal July 2019, and the midfield has hit the ground running, wining the club’s maiden Player of the Month January.
