Ben Nti warns Asante Kotoko supporters over calls for getting rid of Dr. Kwame Kyei

Former Asante Kotoko management Member, Ben Nti has cautioned Asante Kotoko not to rush into hurry for calling the sack of club Executive Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei.

Dr Kwame Kyei and his administration at Kotoko have been hit with several legal and managerial challenges that has led to the Ghana Premier League giants fined on many domestics misconducts.

A portion of club’s supporters has called for the sack of the Executive Officer but former management member of the Ghanaian club has warned the supporters of the two times CAF Champions League winners not start calling for sacking the Executive Officer at this hard times.

“Am speaking as a supporter not a former management member, and I have always been a supporter, a circle member to a circle PRO then rose to become a regional PRO to a national secretary and then a management member,” he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

“You have started this same thing you did to Dr KK Sarpong, now if Dr Kwame Kyei should say he’s fed up and leaves, who will take up the running of the club?

“In these trying times where there’s no football. Should Dr Kyei leave who will take care of the pressing Asante Kotoko bills. Let’s not do that.””

“All is not well within the Kotoko hierarchy as Edmund Ackah stepped down as a management member due to insults from Dr. Kwame Kyei owned Light FM,”said Ben Nti.

Kotoko were asked to pay huge sum of compensations to former managers Kjetil Zachariassen and Black Stars coach C.K. Akunnor after the Kumasi based club wrongfully terminating their contracts.

They have also been hit with FIFA charges of breach of contract in Emmanuel Clottey transfer from Tunisia side Esperance de Tunis back in 2015, and are asked to pay a sum of USD 180,000 to the African Champions League holders.
