Young Africans have broken Simba’s league dominance this season after lifting the Tanzanian Premier League title. Simba also gave a fight but for second place as both clubs qualify to the Caf Champions League.

It’s understood that Simba and Yanga will battle for the Ghana Premier League central defender this summer amid their African campaign.

The Ghana Premier League has become a market for most African clubs to trade in recent times, and this season Tanzanian clubs have not look different for past two seasons.

Simba have already set their sight on signing two Hearts of Oak players, Fatawu Mohammed and Suraj Seidu, and Ghana Premier League goal-king Yaw Annor.

Yanga are also interested in former Hearts of Oak midfielder Benjamin Afutu following the Ghanaian International’s early contract termination at Egyptian side Eastern Company.

Yanga have scouted Mohammed Alhassan during the second round of the Ghana Premier with expected move for the defender at the end of the season.

Their rivals Simba, later, have also identified the man who is regarded as one of the best materials from the local scene to the Black Stars but limited chances to play at 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

None of the teams have made official enquiry at Hearts of Oak as it stands now but Yanga are expected make that bold move in coming days. ‘Mo Alhassan;, 30, joined Hearts of Oak in 2018 and has remained untouchable under the club’s serial changes of managers.

The 30-year has won the Ghana Premier League, MTN FA Cup and played in Africa football which will be key to Simba and Yanga’s Caf Champions League campaign in September.
