Breaking- Chelsea close to agreeing personal terms with Ajax forward Kudus Mohammed

Chelsea have contact Ajax to register their interest in signing Kudus Mohammed as personal terms with Ghanaian International close to been agreed.

Chelsea are closing to agreeing personal terms with Ajax forward Kudus Mohammed over a potential move to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to reports.

Kudus, 22, has become a target for many Premier League clubs with Manchester United, Newcastle and Arsenal hoping to land the Ghanaian this term.

The youngster has risen to prominence at the Johann Cruyff Arena over the past years and his future with the Eredivisie side continues to be uncertain.

Earlier this week, Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for the Ghanaian International but no contacts have been made to Ajax.

According to latest reports in UK, Chelsea have leapfrogged Arsenal in a race to sign Kudus Mohammed.

With Chelsea selling many senior figures, the need to find their experienced replacement still exit and Kudus has become one that the West London outfit have targeted.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly identified Kudus as a potential candidate to strengthen his attack next season.

Kudus scored 11 goals and made 4 assists in 30 appearances at Ajax last season. He was one of Ghana’s main men at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and he has made a strong statement in preseason after grabbing a brace against Shakhtar Donetsk.

These stats may have sparked Mikel Arteta into considering bringing Kudus Mohammed to North London but could see Chelsea beat them to another world top talent.

The Athletic has now reported that Chelsea have contact Ajax to register their interest in the Ghanaian forward and, a deal could be close to been agreed after the player himself close to reaching personal terms with Pochettino’s side.

Kudus can be deployed at the center forward, right wing, no.10 and even no.8 understand, and appears one of the factors Mauricio Pochettion is pushing for the 22-year old.

Kudus has two more years on his contract at Ajax and is ready to welcome a new challenge.

Kudus agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch has already supported this idea after confirming that this is the time (this summer) for Kudus to leave Ajax for a big challenge.

As quoted by Dutch publication De Telegraaf, she said: “I think it is best for both Ajax and Mohammed that he makes a transfer now.

“Now is the right time. He has ignored a proposal to extend his contract until the summer of 2026. What I can say is that after the World Cup and this season there is a lot of interest in Kudus.”
