He told Sport: “I’m in my best moment. I’m already very well physically and mentally for this new season, which is very important for me and I can’t wait for it to start.
“Of course, everyone has projects, victories with the club and with the Brazilian national team. But I’m more focused on the short term.”
Arthur was also asked about a return to Barca.
“I like Xavi as a coach, he’s done an incredible job. He’s recovered Barcelona’s image, you know what the Catalans like.
“The good game, the ball possession, the aggression. I admired him as a player and I admire him as a coach. I haven’t had the opportunity to play with him, but as a coach I would really like it.”
