Manchester City reached their fifth consecutive FA Cup semifinals after thrashing Burnley 6-0 in a commanding performance at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

After demolishing RB Leipzig 7-0 in the Champions League round of 16 second leg at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola’s men never rested at the weekend bringing Burnley on their knees on similar results in the FA Cup.

Erling Haaland made major headlines in the Champions League breaking City’s season record and Kylian Mbappe’s UEFA Champions League record.

Haaland, 22, had 39 goals in all competitions for City before clash with Vincent Kompany’s Burnley, surpassing the mark of 38 set by Tommy Johnson during the 1928-29 season.

The Norway international became the fastest player to reach 30 plus goals in the Champions League when he scored the first 2 goals against RB Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium.

At 22 years, 236 days old, Haaland also became the youngest player to reach that landmark, surpassing Kylian Mbappe, who was 22 years, 352 days when he scored his 30th Champions League goal.

The strong center forward rose to the occasion again, scoring a hat-trick against Burnely to send tally of his hat-tricks this season to six.

The hat-trick means Haaland has grabbed his 42nd goal of the season across all competitions, and the Norwegian International’s prospect so far may only see him score more.

Ruthless Haaland scored twice to put City up by 2-0 in the first half and completed his hat-trick by the 59′ minute mark.

Argentina World Cup winner Julian Alvarez grabbed a brace before Cole Palmer added his goal to complete City 6-0 in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
