Champions League semifinals: PSG vs Manchester City confirmed lineup as Pep maintains core of his setup in Carabao triumph over Spurs

Manchester City are in the best possible shape for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Pep Guardiola‘s named a strong line-up for Sunday’s Carabao Cup victory over Tottenham and the core of the team remain.

That means Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker, Joao Cancelo, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden start as Ederson comes back in.

John Stones is not suspended for the Champions League, and comes in for Sunday’s matchwinner Aymeric Laporte with Crystal Palace away on Saturday lunchtime.

Raheem Sterling was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet at Wembley, though Riyad Mahrez gets more minutes.

“Everyone is fit and ready and happy I think,” Guardiola told reporters on Tuesday.”

“I am grateful to have this opportunity to be there. For us it is new and we are incredibly grateful to live it. We know what we have to do. One game at a time. We go there and try to win that game.

He added: “We are not in the elite in the Champions League, that’s for sure, but we want to be there. In the last years we always play this Champions League and we are lucky to be where we are now. I am incredibly happy to travel to Paris to play – the target is to be ourselves and win.”

PSG XI: Keylor Navas; Alessandro Florenzi, Presnel Kimpembe, Marquinhos, Mitchel Bakker; Leandro Paredes, Marco Verratti, Idrissa Gueye; Angel di Maria, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar.

Man City XI: Ederson; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo; Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan; Riyad Mahrez, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden; Bernardo Silva.
