Former boss tips Hakim Ziyech to shine in the English Premier League

Moroccan super star Hakim Ziyech has been tipped by former manager Boudewijn Pahlpatz, who Ziyech played under at FC Twente, has insisted the former Ajax play-maker will shine in the Premier League.

There is emerging debate trying to integrate the physique of the Moroccan winger to the physicality of the English Premier League, creating doubt that the new Chelsea signing will succeed in his current league.

However, Boudewijn Pahlpatz has given an assurance that Ziyech will shine in England, arguing his new move is a big step in his development.

“The step to the Premier League will do him good,”  He will be playing with the best players every day and that is a new challenge for him. I think he will do well there.

“He will have to get used to the amount of games and the physical side but in the end he will succeed, for sure.”

Chelsea completed a £37.8million for Ziyech in the January transfer but he was allowed to remain at Ajax till the end of the season.

But with the intrusion of the coronavirus pandemic along the line, halting football season across the world, it is uncertain when the season actually end for Ziyech to join his new side Chelsea.

But the Moroccan is expected to join his Chelsea team-mates ending of June or early July where the Eredivisie season is expected to end.

Ajax are joint leaders with AZ Alkmaar on the Eredivisie table with 56 points each after 25 matches.
