Medeama SC to battle Asante Kotoko for Black Meteors midfielder Dominic Nsobila

Ghana Premier League champions Medeama is set to battle Asante Kotoko for Black Meteors midfielder Dominic Nsobila.

Asante Kotoko are reportedly tracking Nsobila for next season but challenges in the club could hamper any deal for the Accra Lions man after Medeama entering into the race for the midfielder.

Nsobila has been one of the best Ghana Premier League players over the last two seasons. The 20-year old has already attracted interest from Asante Kotoko and was described with a move to the Reds last season but a deal failed.

Kotoko don’t look like a side suffering from midfield problems but it is understood they will not stand against signing exceptional talents ahead of 2023-2024 season.

Kotoko have to appoint a permanent head coach after the departure of Seydou Zerbo with the likes of C.K Akonnor, Akwesi Appiah, Bashir Hayford and Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum linked with their managerial job.

Despite this condition and its impacts, Asante Kotoko have managed to identify reinforcements and Dominic Nsobila is one of them.

Nsobila who is at Black Meteors camp in the AFCON U-23 is also on the radar of Tanzanian side Young Africans. Medeama Sporting Club are monitoring a host of players ahead of the CAF Champions League campaign. Earlier this week they have been linked with Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey and said to have eyes on Nsobila.

Medeama are ready to open a battle against Asante Kotoko for the services of Nsobila. Medeama are favourites to land the midfielder who wants to leave Accra Lions for a new challenge next season.
