Legon Cities Transfers: Cities close to reaching $35,000 deal for Aduana Stars midfielder Elvis Opoku

Legon Cities have been liked with a move for Aduana Stars midfielder Elvis Opoku and the rumour has been confirmed by Opoku himself.

“I still have a contract with Aduana Stars but I have no problem if they are ready to release me to any club. I’ve been told by Aduana Stars management for a possible move to Legon Cities and am ready to join them if they agree to my terms” He said in an interview with Kumasi based radio station OTEC FM.

“I’m doing my background checks if the team is good for me or not because as a player you need to do some checks before moving to a team.”

Opoku is contracted at Aduana Stars till the end of next season but haven’t open talks with the Dormaa based side for extension.

With Legon Cities showing interest in the combative midfielder, Aduana Stars are reported to sell the player instead of keeping his at Dormaa.

The Cities have already opened negotiations with Aduana that will see Elvis Opoku switch camp for the Accra Sports Stadium in a deal that may worth $35,000.

Legon Cities sit 15th place on the Ghana Premier League table and knee making a sensational upgrade to a respectable position on the table top.

They are reportedly eyeing moves for several experience players and Elvis Opoku is the lasts to attract interest from the Cities.
