Inter Allies 2-1 Bechem United, as it happened, Ghana Premier League 2019-2020

After being humiliated by Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park last Sunday, courtesy former Asante Kotoko forward Yahaya Mohammed grabbing a hat-trick before Justice Anane added the fourth goal, Inter Allies bounced back to incur a 2-1 defeat on Bechem United in week 2 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports on Saturday afternoon.

Bechem at the receiving end, Kwadwo Asamoah and Prince Adu Kwabena struck in each half to sink Elmina Sharks in the opener of the Premier League. And the duo together with Hafiz Konkoni formed a magical trio against Inter Allies today but suffered a slim loss at the end.

After stealing possession right from start, Inter Allies took the lead on the 9th minute as Kyeremateng went one-on-one with Bechem keeper Prince Asempa after the player being played through by Niger forward Victorien Adebayor, Keremateng kept his composure and slotted the ball beyond Asempa.

Bechem who had showed glimpses of a team to grab the equalizer finally drew on level with midfielder Moro Salifu going high in the air to head home from a close range.

Inter Allies restored their lead when it was three minutes to the end of the first half. This time Adebayor who provided Keremateng’s opener turned a scorer, reacting to Richard Acquah’s long pass from the back before going through one-on-one against Asempa. Adebayor placed the ball into the net to give Allies 2-1 lead.

Despite both teams failing to register additional goals, the score line could have been emphatic 4-0 in favor of the home side.

But Samuel Armah and Michel Otou saw their efforts hitting the woodwork within five minutes of restart. At the end of the game Inter Allies 2-1 Bechem United.

Bechem United return home against Great Olympics in week 3 of the GPL whiles Inter Allies make a trip to face Karela United at Tarkwa Akoon Community Park.
