Asante Kotoko name 19-man squad for Karela United game, Songne Yacouba included
Burkina International Songne Yacouba returns on the pitch for Asante Kotoko after been named in Maxwell Konadu’s squad to face Karela United in the GPL in Tarkwa.
The star striker was sideline due to the player’s contract extension surrounded by many tension. Kotoko have been unable to reach a new contract agreement with the forward which saw the technical team asked the player to temporally step aside from the first team.
After missing a couple of games, the Burkinabe has been named in Kotoko trip to Karela tomorrow afternoon. Maxwell Konadu has included the striker in the 19-man squad to face Karela United on Friday.
It is unknown whether the forward has reached a new deal to extend his stay with the Porcupine Warriors.
Right back Christopher Nettey has returned to the squad after serving his one-match ban against Bechem United last weekend.
Kotoko are chasing back-to-back wins after coming from a goal down to beat Bechem United 3-1 at Accra last Friday.
