Emmanuel Gyamfi and Songne Yacouba put Kotoko 2-0 up against Ebusua Dwarfs in club friendly at Robert Mensah Stadium

Asante Kotoko continued their preparations ahead of the 2019-2020 Ghana Premier League season as this time, the Porcupine Warriors made a trip to Central Region to take on Premier Division side Ebusua Dwarfs in a club friendly at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Stadium inside the City of Cape Coast.

Without head coach, where recent reports have linked former Black assistant coach Maxwell Konadu to take the Kotoko coaching job, Kotoko led by interim boss Johnson Smith called a very strong lineup with the likes of Wahab Adams, Patrick Yeboah, Justice Blay, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Songne Yacouba and Richard Arthur all starting against Dwarfs on Friday afternoon.

Kotoko scored in each half of the game to carry the day 2-0, despite failing to possess their opponent in the first half, Kotoko were the first to strike as Emmanuel Gyamfi poked Dwarfs on the 22 minute before second half impressive performance from the Porcupines saw Songne Yacouba doubled Kokoto’s lead on the 68’ minute.

Kotoko travel to Takoradi to face Skyy FC on Sunday before they come back to Kumasi to continue their preparations ahead of their first competitive game against traditional rivals Hearts of Oak in the 2019 Presidential Cup on 15th December.

After being exited from the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, Kotoko have thrashed Asokwa Deportivo 3-1, Sampdoria 6-0 and today Dwarfs 2-0 in their preparations ahead of the new season.
