Reports in Spain continue to link Salisu’s move away from Real Valladolid as the summer transfer period approaches faster.

“He [Salisu] is a player who has drawn a lot of attention, that his projection is tremendous, but today there is no news to comment around him,” Gomez told Radio Valladolid via footballmadeinghana.

“There are clubs of course that have asked about Salisu, it would be cheating, it is normal at this time of the season and even before, that has happened, but at the moment more things have not happened, but we will see.

“We want that he stays and we want him to extend his contract, but we will also have to see the situations in which they arise.”

After the Sporting director claiming the club will ‘have to see the situations in which they arise’ alerts that the Laliga outfits are ready to sell the defender.

It’s unclear where would be the Ghanaian’s next destination but Manchester United look favorites to sign the Black Stars center-back.

The Premier League giants are searching to bring a center-back to Old Trafford and they have shortlisted Salisu, but any defender including the Valladolid ace’s move to Old Trafford would need the approval of Harry Maguire.

Salisu joined Valladolid youth set up from African Talent Football Academy in 2017 before breaking into the senior side in July 2018.

The 21-year ol scored his first senior goal on 29 April, netting the equalizer in a 2–2 away draw against Racing de Ferrol.

He has two years left on his current contract at Valladolid after signing a contract extension back in 2018.
