Zamalek beat ZESCO United 2-0 in Match Day four of CAF Champions League

After holding ZESCO United to a 1-1 draw in Ndola two weeks ago, Zamalek returned to Cairo to inflict a 2-0 defeat on the Zambians on Friday night at Al-Salam Stadium.

Zamalek looked bright and took a smart start to the game after Achraf Bencharki jumped high to head home Mohamed Ounajem cross from the right flank to give Zamalek a 4 minutes lead.

A minute to full time, Mostafa Mohamed doubled Zamalek’s lead when he tapped into the empty net from Bencharki’s cut pass inside the box.

The Egyptians have maintained their second place in Group A whilst ZESCO United remain winless after four games in the CAF Champions League.
