Ghana midfielder James Kotei set to join YANGA after his Kaizer Chiefs replacement Anthony Akumu spotted in Chiefs’ Village

James Kotei could be shown the exit door at Kaizer Chiefs against the backdrop that Chiefs wants to free space for their foreign quota to allow them to sign new players in this transfer window.

Ernst Middendorp’s side have already loaned Kabelo Mahlasela to Polokwane City til the end of the season whilst Lorenzo Gordinho is also expected to complete a loan move to Bloemfontein Celtic before the January transfer ends.

Next to suffer Chiefs’ shake up is Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei who according to reports in Tanzania is on the verge of completing a move to Young Africans FC (Yanga).

Kotei completed a three year deal to Kaizer Chiefs in June 2019 from Simba but has completely struggled to settle in.

The Ghanaian’s future is understood to already decided by the South African giants where Kotei could be replaced by ZESCO United midfielder Anthony Akumu after Akumu spotted in Chiefs’ Naturena Village during the week.

The arrival of Akumu, Kenyan, is set to push Kotei away from Chiefs and the Ghanaian has been linked with a return to Tanzania.

He now knee finding more playing time and a move back to Tanzania and with YANGA  is likely for the Ghanaian who is believed to open talks with YANGA already.
