Ghana confirmed lineup vs Sudan as local star Christopher Nettey starts, 2022 AFCON qualifiers

Charles Kwablan Akonnor has named his XI against Sudan in Afcon qualifiers at the Cape Coast Stadium as Balck Stars set sight on unbeaten run.

Orlando Pirates new signing Richard Ofori maintains his spot in post with local star Christopher Nettey playing at right back position against Sudan, a debut Ghana call up with a debut Black Stars start in his career.

Baba Rahman returns to starting position after almost two years out of Black Stars while Jonh Boye who missed Ghana’s friendlies against Mali and Qatar in Turkey last month starts along with Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku in central defense.

Afriyie Acquah together with Emmanuel Lomotey who replaces injured Thomas Partey are set in central midfielder with Andrew Ayew and Samule Owusu providing support from the wings in a 4-man midfield.

Ghana lead group C with 6 points from two games whiles Sudan are sitting third with just a victory. Ghana have scored a total 3 goals with no goal conceded.

Ghana XI: Richard Ofori, Baba Rahman, Alexander Djiku, John Boye, Christopher Nettey, Afriyie Acquah, Emmanuel Lomotey, Tariq Fosu, Samuel Owusu, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew
