Top Ghanaian Sports Journalist Moses Antwi Benefo appointed as Asante Kotoko Communications Manager
Ghanaian Sports Journalist, Moses Antwi Benefo, popularly known as PJ Mosey, has been appointed as the Communications Manager of Asante Kotoko.
Antwi Benefo will head the club’s communications department for the next three years under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah.
His appointment comes as little surprise as he had been tipped by many due to his relationship with the former GFA presidential aspirant.
The club’s management structure is now shaping up nicely.
The new Communication Manager who holds a Masters degree in journalism, is latest to earn an appointment at the club after Emmanuel Dasoberi, was appointed as administrative and operations manager.
He recently landed a job at Kumasi-based Nhyira FM. It is believed that he will combine with both positions.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Premier League side have confirmed their participation of the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League- a competition they have not won over more than 30 years now.
The GFA released a statement on their official website that confirms Kotoko’s participation in the 2020-2021 African Champions League.
“Asante Kotoko SC have confirmed their participation in the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League competition,” the GFA announced on its official website on Monday.
“The confirmation is on the back of a letter sent to the club on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 to confirm their engagement in next season’s Caf inter-club competition.
“Kotoko’s confirmation was contained in a letter dated September 7, 2020, signed by CEO Yaw Amponsah and sent to the GFA.
“The club is expected to go through the mandatory Club licensing process as set out in the GFA and Caf Club licensing regulations.
“Engagement and registration for the 2020/2021 Caf inter-club competition was opened on September 1, 2020 and will be closed on October 20, 2020.”
