Malaga terminate Lumor Agbenyenu contract following indiscipline record

Lumor Agbenyenu will no longer compete in the blue and white division, according to Malaga. The boquerón club announced the decision in a brief statement, citing disciplinary reasons.

“Málaga CF has ended its professional relationship with Lumor Agbenyenu for disciplinary reasons. The player has been released from his contract with MCF from today, Wednesday,” the club said.

Lumor joined Málaga in October 2022 as a result of Victor Olmo’s injury, with the agreement of the club’s then-coach and sports director, Pepe Mel and Manolo Gaspar.

During the Christmas break, the Malacitano club started a report on the player. Lumor went missing from the club before returning late in December. Pepe Mel was not happy with him at that point, and Málaga analyzed how to move him away. Pellicer invited him upon his arrival at Martiricos, but the player has been absent from team meetings in recent weeks.

Lumor Agbenyenu appeared in only three games. Two in the League and one in the Copa del Rey in Ibiza versus Pena Deportiva. His one good memory from Málaga was scoring the winning goal in the penalty shootout that advanced the Blue and Whites to the next round.
