Al Ahly beat Ismaily 1-0 to extend their unbeaten run in the Egyptian Premier League to seven games

Egyptian heavyweights Al Ahly continue their perfect form to the start of the Egyptian League after recording a 1-0 victory over Ismaily at Ismailia Stadium on Thursday evening.

Al Ahly had gone six games in the League without dropping a single point from a possible of 18, and Ismaily who before today’s clash had also remained unbeaten in their last three League games were hoping the cause Ahly their first Premier League defeat.

However, Walid Soliman strike 12’ minute to full time escape the League leaders from dropping any point today as Al Ahly run away from Ismailia with their 7th consecutive win in seven Egyptian Premier League games so far.

There was good news for Ahly fans as Ali Maaloul got back to Rene Weiler’s starting eleven after missing a couple of games for the giants.

The Tunisian missed Al-Ahly’s recent games at the league and CAF Champions League as he suffered a muscular injury during Al-Ahly’s 1-0 loss to Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia on 29 November.

Ahly leads the Egyptian Premier League table with 21 points from their seven games, and still have two in hand.
