Asante Kotoko open talks with Bechem United over move for former Academie de Football Amadou Diallo midfielder Moro Salifu

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko knee bolstering their squad and they have been linked with a host of players during the few past days after the reopen of the Ghana’s transfer window.

Kotoko haven’t enjoyed a smooth running campaign this season, however, their performance can completely not be described as unimpressive, winning 7, 4 draws and 3 defeats to place 4th on the GPL table with 25 point with still a game in hand.

But in terms of the standard to get back to Africa and perhaps perform beyond the reach of their capabilities, the Ghanaian giants is far below par, and that has driven and inform decision to make quality additions into the squad in the second transfer window.

According to reports in Ghana, Asante Kotoko have identified Bechem United star man Moro Salifu as one who can contributes to Kotoko local and continental ambitions. It has been reported that the Kumasi based club have already open negotiations with Bechem United over Salifu which talks are in advanced stage.

Kotoko technical team led by Maxwell Konadu is very aware of Salifu’s qualities when the player returned to Ghana last year from Ivorian side AFAD- Academie de Football Amadou Diallo, at the time that Kotoko were chasing for his signature before he completed a move to Bechem United before the start of the season.

However, his performance against Kotoko in the GPL at the Accra Sports Stadium few weeks ago made many sit up and take notice, and it’s believed that Kotoko have ever had a sleepless night after Salifu’s master class performance against the Porcupine Warriors.

In as much Kotoko look very likely to land the combative midfielder after advancement in talks, his transfer fee would be a bit of challenge for the Warriors with the Hunter not ready to receive anything less than GHC 70,000 as Futball Surgery understand.

According to reports, Kotoko and Bechem are still deliberating on the 21-year-old’s transfer fee which small amount still draw differences between the two sides.

Salifu is seen as a perfect partner and back up for star performer Justice Blay who play with power deep in center of the park. If things materialize Moro Salifu who has already netted twice in the league will play for Asante Kotoko in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
