Keyekeh, 22, has long been spotted by the Premier League outfits, and for the latest two transfer windows in Ghana, Kotoko have failed to capture signature of the Karala United ace.

Despite past failures, the Porcupine Warriors have maintained interest in the defensive midfielder, and are reportedly open talks with Karela to get a deal for the player done at the end of this season.

Futball Surgery now claims talks between Kotoko and Karela United have advanced after Keyekeh failed to deny Kotoko’s interest in him during interview on Silver FM Sports in Kumasi.

Having asked him of a potential move to Kotoko, and how close he is closing in on the move, the Karela star failed to deny rumours about a move to the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium and revealed to secure the transfer is in the hands of his agent and Karela.

“I have no concrete information about the stage of transfer.  Everything (on the transfer) is been negotiated by my agent and team (Karela).

This will put smiles on the face of many Kotoko supporters as their long term transfer target has revealed positive signs of joining the Reds.

The 22-year-old Ghana midfielder is much aware of Kotoko’s culture that all its prospective workers don’t just pass through the club executing daily duties but people serve the club with pride, honour and more importantly good heart.

He revealed he will serve Kotoko as it’s a dream for any player including himself to play for Asante Kotoko.

“It’s any player’s dream to play for Asante Kotoko. Even for me, we (players) don’t just play Kotoko but we serve the club.

“I will serve Kotoko if the opportunity comes (when the transfer is completed).

Having asked to assess his chances of making cut to Kotoko’s eleven, he said, “ As a player you have to respect your colleagues, I have respect for Kotoko midfielders but when I get the chance to play will show what I’ve got in me.”

Hearts of Oak were also believed to tracking the defensive man but with the Accra based side completing the signing of Mamane Lawali from Niger, they will cool down interest in Keyekeh.
