Asante Kotoko and Ash Gold receive Goodwill message from GFA ahead of CAF games

Ghana Premier League duo Asante Kotoko and Ash Gold have received goodwill message from the Ghana Football Association ahead of preliminary CAF games against FC Nouadhibou and Salitas respectively.

Kotoko are away in Nouadhibou to face the three consecutive times Mauritanian Premier League champions as first round of CAF Champions League games take place across the continent this weekend.

Meanwhile, Ash Gold host Salitas FC from Burkina Faso at Obuasi in the Caf Confederation Cup, hoping to make cut in the second round of preliminary stages- where they were crushed out by defending champions RB Berkane.

The Ghana Football Association has extended its Goodwill messages to boost participation levels of the Ghanaian sides.

“The two clubs (Asante Kotoko and Ash Gold) have demonstrated their determination to attain the set objectives in their respective competitions and we are confident their efforts will be rewarded”

“We urge football fans and all stakeholders to offer Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold the needed support in their quest to make Ghana proud on the continent”.

“We wish the two clubs the very best of Ghanaian luck”, the GFA said in a statement ahead of the two matches on Sunday November 29.

If Kotoko are able to qualify ahead of FC Nouadhibou, they are most likely to face Sudanese giants Al Hilal.

Hilal defeated Vipers of Ugandan 1-0 on Saturday afternoon to enhance their chances of progressing to the second preliminary round of the Champions League.
