Felix Anann ruled out of Kotoko Caf Champions League clash against Nouadhibou

Asante Kotoko shot-stopper Felix Anann has been ruled of Caf Champions League game against Nouadhibou as Porcupine Warriors set for good campaign in Africa this term.

The Ghana Premier League outfits face the Mauritanian side in preliminary round of the Champions League with first leg taking place this Friday in Nouadhibou and Kotoko will miss the services of Anann.

The Ghanaian International was substituted in stoppage time after sustaining head injury in Kotoko tough 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League last Sunday.

He was replaced by second choice Kwame Baah for the closing stages of the match. Annan underwent scan and failed to train with teammates on Tuesday morning as Kotoko prepare to travel to Mauritania.

The Porcupine Warriors travel to Mauritania for the first leg and will have to play without their captain.

This season has been a turn-around for Anann regaining his starting position after been sidelined to the bench due to Kwame Baah’s stunning performances.

He has started in all two games for Kotoko conceding in Kotoko’s opener against Eleven Wonders and keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea.
