Hakim Ziyech demand at Sevilla as Laliga giants eye swap deal with Chelsea

Sevilla have reportedly shown interest in bringing Moroccan International Hakim Ziyech to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium this summer.

Hakim Ziyech was a top transfer target for Sevilla when Ajax reached semifinals of the Champions League in 2019 but the winger swerved to complete £33million move to Chelsea two seasons later.

Since his move to the London based club, Ziyech has struggled to settle in especially under Frank Lamapard, and though he seems to eventually warming himself under Thomas Tuchel, the 24-year old has still not demonstrated his level in later part of Ajax career.

Chelsea have not considered cashing on Ziyech with the club’s transfer plans for summer focus on strengthening their defense. A whole of list have been penciled down since arrival of Thomas Tuchel and Sevilla centre-back Jules Koundé is the latest player scouted by Chelsea technical team.

Kounde is valued £30million by Sevilla and have three more years on his contract which means he is not so near to leave the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium anything for free.

And with Chelsea already planning to buy Kounde at the end of this season, Ziyech could be demanded to make in exchange for one of Chelsea’s summer top transfer target Kounde.

According to reports in Spain, Sevilla will demand the Premier League outfits to offer Ziyech in direct exchange for their centre-back.

That’s according to Spanish outlet AS who claim Sevilla value the Moroccan International in the same region as Kounde in a region of  £30-35million.

Chelsea signed Ziyech for £33.6million from Ajax at the beginning of this season and has so far netted only once and three assists in 20 premier league games.

Same poor run of form can be found in the Champions League netting 2 goals in 9 outings including in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the 1/16 stage.

However, Ziyech fired Chelsea into the FA Cup finals after combining beautifully with Timo Werner to sink Manchester City in the semifinals last month.
