Trezeguet agent denies agreement with Besiktas over summer transfer

Mahmoud Trezeguet’s agent Christian Emile has ruled out a move to Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas in the summer transfer window.

The Egyptian’s time at Aston Villa seems to be coming to an end after the club listed him for sale with his contract running out in the summer of 2023.

Following a nine-month absence due to a knee injury, Trezeguet was sent on a six-month loan to Istanbul Basaksehir back in January after falling down the pecking order at Villa.

The 26-year-old managed to quickly rediscover his form after a fruitful spell in Turkey, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 13 appearances.

His performances also earned him back-to-back Player of the Month awards for the months of February and March.

With Trezeguet getting back to his form in Turkey, rumours had emerged about a possible move to Besiktas on a permanent deal.

However, his agent Christian Emile has ruled out these rumours and denied an agreement with Besiktas over a potential summer transfer.

“The news from Turkey that Beşiktaş has agreed with Trezeguet is completely false,” Emile told Turkish newspaper Fotospor.

He also admitted that they will continue to negotiate and discuss offers with other teams in Turkey and Europe.
