West Ham United defender Ben Johnson praises Mohamed Salah

West Ham United defender, Ben Johnson, has praised Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah following his impressive start to the 2021-2022 season.

During this season, Salah has been breaking records left and right with the Reds. He’s become the highest African top scorer in the Premier League, and he’s also become the first-ever Liverpool player to score in ten consecutive games.

Throughout his 15 appearances with Liverpool this season, Salah has scored 15 goals and made six assists, contributing to his team’s success on the domestic and continental levels.

However, Salah has failed to score in his last three appearances against Atletico Madrid, Brighton and Hove Albion, and West Ham.

Liverpool’s 25-game unbeaten run came to an end when they lost 3-2 to the Hammers last weekend, a game which saw Johnson play the full 90 minutes.

“Incredible, faultless,” Johnson said on the Egyptian.

“He’s scored however many goals this season and he’s mirroring his form from a few seasons ago.

“Playing football and being in a dressing room we don’t really compare players, we just respect what they are doing if they are tearing it up.

“You can’t deny what he’s doing week after week, his consistency is world-class. He’s a fantastic player. Of course, you want to play against him, but at the same time, you want to be wary.

“I want to challenge myself against the best and he’s arguably the best player in the world,” the 21-year-old concluded.
