Egyptian Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been nominated by the Premier League for this year’s edition of the Player of the Season award.

Salah is having another sensational season for Liverpool, having scored 30 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions.

His contributions have led the Reds to a quest for a historic quadruple this season as they are in contention for the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Champions League with the EFL League Cup already secured after defeating Chelsea on penalties back in February.

They could win their second trophy as they are set to play Chelsea once again in the FA Cup final, set to take place on Saturday, May 14th.

Two weeks later, Liverpool will travel to Paris to take on La Liga champions Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final.

In a recent tweet, the Premier League revealed that Salah has been nominated for the Player of the Season award after his outstanding performances.

The Egyptian is currently the Premier League’s leading top scorer with 22 goals, one ahead of Tottenham’s Son Heung-min, and four more than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Additionally, Salah is also leading the league’s assist charts with 13, with his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold being the closest to him with 12 assists.

Salah will be facing tough competition from Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne, Son Heung-min, and Bukayo Saka of Arsenal.

The last time Salah won the award was in his debut season with Liverpool, where he scored a remarkable tally of 32 goals.
