Morocco star Bounou upstaged during TV interview as son mistakes purple microphone for an ICE CREAM

Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has been one of the stars of the tournament, but he was upstaged by his son during an interview.

The Sevilla stopper, 31, produced a fine performance as he kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory over Portugal.

Afterwards Bounou was asked about keeping out Cristiano Ronaldo and co. on Saturday night.

But his thoughts on the shock 1-0 victory were eclipsed by the antics of the cheeky chap in his arms.

He clocked the microphone and gave it a prod with his finger before attempting to have a bite of the microphone like it was an ice cream.

Bounou and the TV interviewer saw the funny side as the child giggled.

And he then went back in for a second try. It was another magical moment at the World Cup, with one fan saying: ‘Everything about this Moroccan team is touching, sincere, true.’

Another said: ‘He thought it was a big ice cream.’

A third added: ‘The little guy doesn’t care, he is with his father, he feels at home, get him some ice cream.’

Bounou’s World Cup dream ended with a 2-0 semi-final defeat by France, but his impressive displays have caught the eye of Aston Villa, Wolves and Bayern Munich.
