Tennis superstar Andy Murray makes admission over Mohamed Salah form at Liverpool

Andy Murray has admitted saying he regrets choosing Harry Kane over Mohamed Salah in his Fantasy Premier League team.

Tennis superstar Andy Murray says he ‘made a big mistake’ by choosing Harry Kane over Mohamed Salah in his fantasy Premier League team at the start of the season.

The Tottenham striker had been linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer, but remained in North London where he’s struggled for form so far this term.

Salah, on the other hand, is in the form of his life for Liverpool with 15 Premier League goals so far and 22 in all competitions.

Murray likened the Egyptian to the likes of Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho and says he regrets not choosing Salah for his team.

“I was thinking, okay, he [Kane] is scoring 25, 30 goals a season for Tottenham, but he’s going to be scoring 35, 40 goals for Man City,” Murray said in an interview with EuroSport.

“I left it until the last second and I took Kane and am obviously regretting it.

“I love watching him [Salah] play because he’s so exciting.

“I love his personality; he always has, not always, but a lot of the time he’s smiling and he seems like he’s enjoying himself. It’s tough not to love him for that., he scores amazing goals and it’s just fun to watch.

“I’m not saying he’s the same as Lionel Messi but obviously they’re both left-footed, both great dribblers and stuff. I find his personality like kind of similar to Ronaldinho.

“Salah reminds me a bit about that, the way he goes about the game and stuff, so I love watching him. But I made a bad decision this year.”

The Liverpool winger has earned the most FPL point so far this season with 170, followed by teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold on 126.

Kane, meanwhile, has only collected 39 FPL points so far, despite scoring against Liverpool in the 2-2 draw on Sunday.
