Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal complete signing of Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea

Saudi Professional League side Al Hilal have completed the signing of central defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Premier League giants Chelsea.

Chelsea and Al Hilal had been in contact over a possible move for the Senegalese International over the past days and the deal has been completed on Sunday after Chelsea announcing the undisclosed fee transfer at their official website.

” Kalidou Koulibaly has left Chelsea after completing a permanent transfer to Saudi Professional League side Al-Hilal.

“The centre-back arrived from Napoli last summer and made 32 appearances for the Blues during his sole campaign at Stamford Bridge.

“The 32-year-old made his debut away at Everton and marked his first home game with a fantastic volley against Tottenham Hotspur. His other Chelsea goal also came in a London derby, away to Fulham.”

After completing the transfer, Koulibaly went to his twitter handle to send message to Chelsea fans.

“From my first game to my last, it was an honour to wear this badge,” Koulibaly said on Twitter.

“Last season wasn’t the one we wanted, but I want to thank the fans and everyone at the club for your support.”

The 32-year old joins Ruben Neves after the former Wolves midfielder sealed a 47million to Al Hilal two days ago.
