Basketball African League: Stade Malien stun Kwara Falcons in second game

The Basketball African League enters matchday 2 as Nigeria’s representative in the Southern Conference Kwara Falcons suffered their second successive defeat in the tournament on Tuesday.

The Nigeria champions lost heavy defeat to Rwanda Energy Group (REG) of Rwanda in the opening group game on Sunday.

They played against Stade Malien in the second group game at the Dakar Arena on Tuesday and it ended in another defeat for them.

Despite starting on the front foot, it was the Bamako-based club that claimed the first set 15-18.

Falcons closed the gap to 5 points in the second set despite suffering a 31-36 defeat.

The Malian club created a huge gap in the 3rd set with a resounding 49-64 win before wrapping up the game in the final set 74-78.
