Morocco will field two teams in the World Amateur Team Championships – France 2022” which will take place in Paris, on the Golf National and Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche courses, from August 24 to September 3, announced the Royal Moroccan Federation. of Golf (FRMG).

The first week, the women’s elite of world amateur golf compete in the Espirito Santo Trophy, the title of which is defended by the United States. In the second week, their male counterparts play the Eisenhower Trophy, which Denmark won in 2018,” explained the FRMG in a press release, adding that this event could not take place in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. .

For its 29th edition (from August 24 to 27) the Espirito Santo Trophy will have no less than 56 registered nations, including Morocco, which will be the only Arab nation represented, notes the press release, specifying that the women’s national team will be composed of Sofia Cherif Essakali, winner last week of an AJGA tournament (the first junior circuit in the United States), Rim Imni, reigning Moroccan champion, and Malak Bouraeda, author of a historic qualification for the US Women’s Open in May last.
