Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will attend the big game between Ghana and Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Dr Bawumia is on an official visit to the Ashanti Regional capital and has decided to visit the stadium to lend his support to the Black Stars in their quest to demolish the Super Eagles.

His presence is expected to inspire the Black Stars to secure a convincing win.

The Black Stars are confident of defeating the Nigerians in the first leg on Friday night and completing the job on Tuesday in Abuja.

Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku described Nigeria as “little babies pretending to be big boys” ahead of the tie.

“It’s that time of the year where every Ghanaian will have to stand up and be counted. It’s that time of the year where our country’s pride is at stake,” Okraku told Joy Sports.

“It’s that time of the year where Ghana must be at the Mundial, but before we do that, we have a common foe, the Super Eagles of Nigeria. They come across as our little babies, but they pretend to be the big boys.”

Sunday Dare, Nigeria’s Sports Minister, previously stated that the Super Eagles “will beat the sh*t” out of Ghana. Speaking to the Super Eagles’ technical staff on Wednesday morning, he stated that Nigeria will not accept a draw.

“We’re not going to play a draw in Ghana, honestly. We’ll beat the shit out of them,” Dare said in a video that has gone viral.

“These guys should just go out, there’s insurance to their next match. There’s insurance there and there’s insurance here.”

Ghana have a better head-to-head record than their West African counterparts and have not lost to Nigeria in over 16 years.
