EIF coach Gabri Garcia Xatart and Sporting Director Peter Haglund have expressed excitement after the club announced the signing of Enoch Kofi Adu.
Enoch Kofi Adu joined the Tammisaari-based club on a free transfer. The 32-year-old previously played for clubs such as Nordsjaelland, Malmö FF, AIK, and Club Brugge.
The merit list includes three Swedish championships and one Danish one. In addition, 156 Allsvenskan matches and 18 in the Champions League.
EIF coach Gabri Garcia Xatart stated that the new player brings experience to the team.
“This young team needs that experience. We needed just this kind of player for our team, a strong defensive midfielder,”
EIF’s sporting director Peter Haglund is satisfied that the contract is now ready for the coming season.
“We worked for a week on this contract,”
Financially, recruitment would not have been possible for the EIF without external funding.
“We are happy that we managed to row this transition to port. And it was also absolutely crucial that we have our own platinum club that supports us, without it this would never have worked,” says sporting director Peter Haglund.
