Samir Kamouna: Former Al Ahly star claims boss Pitso Mosimane will be sacked if club loses to Zamalek

A former Al Ahly star feels Pitso Mosimane will be sacked if the team loses to rivals Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League later this month.

The Red Devils missed out on a third successive CAF Champions League title after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Wydad Casablanca in Morocco on Monday night.

A couple of former players have already called for the club to part ways with Mosimane, while Samir Kamouna feels a defeat to the defending league champions could spell the end for the South African coach.

“Al Ahly board are the ones to decide whether Mosimane should stay or not, but I believe he is no longer fit for the position,” Kamouna said, as per KingFut.

“I believe Mosimane will be sacked if he loses to Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League. Al Ahly are not doing well and the performance is disappointing.

“The defense especially is in a bad state. Despite the team having high-quality defenders, they are making many mistakes and conceding a lot of goals.

“There have been some tactical mistakes in the CAF Champions League final. Mosimane should have played Afsha and Sherif from the beginning.”
