Ncikazi blames technical team for Orlando Pirates problems

Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi has outlined a new plan for the team in a bid to secure maximum points in the clash against AmaZulu.

Following their disappointment of being held to a 0-0 draw against Baroka FC in their previous match, Bucs will be in Durban to face an unpredictable Usuthu in their next fixture on Wednesday and Ncikazi says both teams will be desperate for points after their inconsistent results.

In part, Ncikazi has blamed the Pirates technical team for adding to the players’ increasing anxiety levels in their desperation for points and the mentor wants that to change at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium.

“I think it’s two desperate teams, desperate for points if you consider how AmaZulu played the last match, which I thought they should have won but they couldn’t score.

“Same scenario with us in our previous match. We know they are a good side but like I always said, if Pirates play the way they are playing, dominate the match the way we dominate and take the chances that we create, we’ve got a big chance of getting the full points.

“We just have to be ruthless in front of goal, we just have to be calm and take the chances. Maybe the fact that we are desperate we also create panic around the players where we should be encouraging them to be more composed around the box, that’s the only way of taking the chances that we create,” said Ncikazi, speaking via the Pirates media department.
