Al Ahly fans throw massive support ahead of Caf Champions League final against Zamalek

Al Ahly fans rallied behind the squad and head coach Pitso Mosimane this weekend as they prepare for the 2019/20 CAF Champions League final against Zamalek.

In what has been dubbed as the ‘Derby of the Century’ in Egyptian media, the Red Devils faithful have caught the Pitso fever within his perfect start to life in Cairo.

Since replacing Rene Weiler, Mosimane has overseen six wins and one draw, which includes the 5-1 thumping over Wydad Casablanca in the two-legged Champions League semi-final.

In what was the final public viewing before the closed training camp, the squad underwent Covid-19 test which veteran playmaker Walid Soliman tested positive.

After Mahmoud Kahraba and Saleh Gomaa both were ruled out due to the coronavirus, the 35-year-old becomes the latest player after the Egyptian Cup quarter-final win over Abou Qir Fertilizers SC.
