USM Alger handed three transfer window ban from FIFA over unpaid transfer fee of former Asante Kotoko forward Kwame Opoku
World Football governing body, FIFA has imposed a three transfer window ban on USM Alger in unpaid transfer fee of Ghanaian International.
The Algerian outfit has been banned for failing to pay transfer fee of striker Kwame Poku to Asante Kotoko.

Opoku joined the Algiers based side in April 2021 from the Ghanaian giants in a deal reported to be around US$300,000 in a four-and-a-half-year contract.
But the Algerian side are yet to settle Kotoko since completing the signing of the highly-rated forward.
However, the two-time African Champions who seems not be happy reported the conduct of the Algerian club to FIFA months ago.

It is believed FIFA ordered USM Alger to pay Asante Kotoko an amount of €300,000 with interest for the transfer of Kwame Poku but failed to adhere to the directives of the world football governing body shall lead to further sanctions.
However, according to Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, FIFA has now imposed a transfer ban on the club until they redeem themselves. The Algerian side were communicated the sanction through the Algerian Football Association that will see USM Alger not able to sign players for the next three transfer windows.
The 22-year-old scored nine goals in 20 appearances for Kotoko during his short spell at the club before leaving for Algeria.
