BREAKING- United Arab Emirates host 2022 Egyptian Super Cup
The 2021 Egyptian Super Cup is revealed to take place in the United Arab Emirates on the 28th of October.
Last season, Zamalek successfully claimed the Egyptian Premier League title for the 13th time in history after a tough competition with arch-rivals Al Ahly.
A few days ago, they have also won the 2021 edition of the Egypt Super Cup title after beating their rivals 2-1 in the tournament’s finale.
Since they have won both domestic major competitions, the Whites will clash with the Cup’s runner-ups Al Ahly for the Egyptian Super Cup.
The derby will be important for both sides. Zamalek aim to claim the domestic triple while Al Ahly will be trying to take revenge for the recent Cup defeat.
Today, it was officially announced that the derby will be taking place in the United Arab Emirates for the fifth time.
According to the official announcement, the game is taking place at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on the 28th of October.
