Chelsea set to ‘offer Juventus five players in swap deal for £68m forward Dusan Vlahovic’ as Mauricio Pochettino pritorises signing a world class No 9

Chelsea are set to open talks with Juventus over a potential deal for Dusan Vlahovic and could offer the Serie A side five players in exchange for the 23-year-old.

The Serbian forward has scored 23 goals in 62 games since signing for the Old Lady in January 2022, but is unhappy happy at the club – according to reports.

Vlahovic is said to be annoyed with Massimiliano Allegri’s defensive approach and is looking to leave the Serie A giants as a result.

Chelsea have registered their interest in signing the 23-year-old forward – who is valued at £68million by Juventus.

However, they will have to fend off interest from Bayern Munich as the Bundesliga sie are said to be keeping an eye on Vlahovic’s situation.

According to Gazzetta via Football Italia, Chelsea are looking to sweeten their deal by including five players in their offer to Juve.

Chelsea are said to be willing to include Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevoh Chalobah, Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly in the deal.

Chelsea are desperate to sign a new striker during the summer transfer window after struggling to score in the 2022-2023 campaign.

Despite spending over £300 million in January on the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea failed to sign a genuine centre forward.

Only three clubs have netted less league goals than them this season, and no player has scored more than nine across all competitions.

Therefore, Mauricio Pochettino, who is expected to take over as Chelsea boss next season, has prioritised signing a world class number nine at Stamford Bridge.

Vlahovic is said to be top of their priority list after watching him excel at Fiorentina before signing for Juventus.

Chelsea were keen on bringing the Serbian to Stamford Bridge before his move from Fiorentina last January, but were beaten to his signature by Juve.

However, Chelsea will face stiff competition from from the likes of Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

But, if he does join Stamford Bridge, the 23-year-old will be expected to make a big impact at a club that has slid to 12th in the Premier league table.
